The Taiari Wai River Festival is back for its third year.  Thanks to our generous sponsors, Otago Community Trust, Aotearoa Gaming Trust, Ranfurly Transport, the Māniatoto Promotions Fund and Otago Fish and Game Council.

The Taiari Wai River Festival is a music festival with a purpose - to engage the Otago community in the extraordinary freshwater ecosystems of the Taieri/Taiari river.

The aim of the festival is to provide a focal point for the Taieri/Taiari community to gather, to learn about and celebrate their river.
The festival aims to be an annual event that links communities up and down the Taiari/Taieri river, from Dunedin to Alexandra and beyond. Our goal is for it to grow into a boutique festival that attracts music lovers from around the world.

Adam Hattaway
and the Haunters

Based in Ōtautahi/Christchurch, Adam Hattaway (The Eastern, Wurld Series) has been building a reputation in the world of alt-rock n roll. With sweltering hooks and raw emotional narrative, their sound says “put your arm around the one you love and remember that they won’t be there forever – but maybe that’s a good thing.’’

Lachie Hayes band

Lachie Hayes is a rising alt-country artist from the deep south of Aotearoa, known for his raw storytelling, genre-blurring sound, and strong sense of place.
His debut album Subsatellite, produced by Delaney Davidson, fuses blues, country and rock. Lachie’s sound is shaped by everyday moments, old Westerns, and the poetic grit of artists like Bob Dylan, Robert Johnson, and Muddy Waters.
